Magic Slice

Magic Slice is a VR cooking-slicing experience built in Unreal, where players wield enchanted blades to prep ingredients in a fantastical kitchen. I was responsible for game programming, level design, tools visual effect, order system and environment layout.

  • Programmed order-generation logic in Blueprint, ensuring responsive controls and dynamic challenge serving

  • Designed and laid out modular kitchen environments to guide player flow, balance difficulty, and support narrative beats

  • Created and integrated enchanted-blade VFX with Niagara—spark trails, material bursts, and realtime glow transitions

  • Architected a flexible order system that randomizes recipes, tracks completion, and feeds back via in-world UI widgets
